Behind the Screens: Building the Brand & Website for Everglow Outdoor

Some projects start with a brand brief. Others start with a text from someone you’ve already built something cool with.

Coy and I worked together back when I built the Stellar tech startup site, so when he told me he was launching a new business focused on custom outdoor lighting, I was all in. He had the vision, I had the skills, and we already had that shorthand from working together before. That always makes the process smoother (and more fun).

Branding That Glows (Literally)

Before we even got to the website, Everglow needed a name, a logo, and a look that felt true to what they do: create those magical outdoor moments with lighting that actually transforms a space.

I created the full brand from the ground up - Everglow’s name, logo, color palette, type system, the whole vibe. We landed on something that feels warm, a little dreamy, but still clean and professional. It’s not trying too hard. It just works.

You’ll see some gentle glow effects built into the logo itself, and the color palette pulls from dusk tones; sunset oranges, deep blues, soft golds, all designed to reflect that “lights just came on” feeling.

The Site: Simple, Clean, and Built to Convert

Once the brand was locked in, I moved into the site build. Everglow’s work speaks for itself, so the site had to showcase it visually while also making it easy for new customers to reach out.

The final site includes pages for Home, Services, Gallery, About, and Contact. It’s mobile-first (like everything I build now), loads fast, and makes it super easy for someone to say, “I want this in my yard.”

Coy didn’t need a site with bells and whistles, he needed one that works. And that’s what we built.

Let the Work Do the Talking

Instead of cluttering the site with blocks of text, I kept things light and visual. Everglow’s installations, whether it’s Diwali lighting, backyard hangs, or full-blown commercial entrances, are the showstoppers.

I built out a flexible gallery layout that’s easy to update as new projects roll in. There’s no clunky CMS here; just a clean, fast experience for anyone scrolling through looking for inspiration.

Lead forms are simple. Call-to-actions are clear. Everything is designed to reduce friction and help people get from “That looks nice” to “Let’s book.”

A Little SEO Magic

No one’s going to hire you if they can’t find you. So I made sure we were set up with solid on-page SEO from day one: optimized meta tags, smart headers, and a focus on keywords like “outdoor lighting North Dallas” and “holiday lighting installs Texas.

As Everglow gears up for busy seasons, the foundation is already there to grow organically and it already shows up first when searched on Google!

Good Work With Good People

This one meant a lot. Getting to work with Coy again, helping him launch something new is the kind of projects I love. We went from sketching logos to launching a full site that reflects everything Everglow’s about: great work, solid people, and a little bit of magic after dark.

If you’re starting something and want a brand and website that’s actually built to grow with you, hit me up. I’d love to help bring it to life!
